100-Year-Old Legionnaires Sought

Greetings fellow Legionnaires,

I am currently preparing a database to identify 100-year-old Legionnaires in the State of Arkansas and need you assistance in identifying these individuals. In addition, 2012 is fast approaching and we also have numerous 99-year-old Legionnaires who will soon turn 100 years of age. Therefore, I need your assistance in identifying these Legionnaires so they can be properly recognized at the Post as well as the State and National levels. In addition, I have spoken with the media and they have expressed the desire to do feature stories on some of these individuals, which will also help garner more publicity for the American Legion.

Therefore, if you would please check your Post records and identify your 99-year-old Legionnaires, as well as those who may already be 100 years of age, and let me know so we can develop a plan of how to recognize them properly such as we did at Post 57 in Arkadelphia for the late Dr. Raymond Coppenger, who passed away back in 2009 at the age of 100. Specifically, what I need is the Legionnaire’s name and DOB, and we will start from there.

Thanks in advance for your assistance in recognizing these Legionnaires and please contact me if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

George (Keith) Dover
