Arkansas Delegate Elected Vice President of the
Alex Geiger proudly took his stand as the new
Vice President of The American Legion Boys Nation
Geiger, 17, of North Little Rock, Arkansas was elected Vice President of
The American Legion Boys Nation at Marymount University for the 2010 program.
He plans to attend Morehouse College with the goal of becoming a minister.
“I’d like to thank my mom and grandmother for raising me
to effectively be an upstanding young man” Geiger said.
“I also want to thank my pastor and my uncle who is currently serving overseas in
Iraq right now. This experience is very perspective opening and life changing.
I’m so thankful to have this opportunity.”

Lincoln Meets With Arkansas Boys Nation ‘Senators’
Both Arkansas Delegates Elected to Leadership Positions
Washington – U.S. Senator Blanche Lincoln last week met with Alex Geiger of North Little Rock (left)
and Joe Kieklak of Fayetteville (right), click to view full size photo, who were selected to participate as
mock Senators in the Boys Nation program for high school students. Sponsored by the American Legion,
Boys Nation representatives learn about how the federal government works and participate in mock
Senate sessions where they caucus and debate bills.
Geiger was elected Vice President and Keiklak was elected President Pro-Tempore
of the 2010 American Legion Boys Nation.
