The Arkansas Department of Veterans Affairs had a
groundbreaking ceremony at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in Birdeye,
on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at 10:30 a.m.
Governor Mike Beebe lead the groundbreaking ceremony.

The Birdeye cemetery property is located east of Cherry Valley and northeast of
Wynne on Hwy. 163. It is just north of the intersection of Hwy. 42 and Hwy. 163.
The entrance for the cemetery grounds is on the right hand side,
just past the old APAC gravel pit sign on the left.  Parking will be available on the grounds.
